715th Bombardment Squadron

The 715th Bombardment Squadron was a U.S. Army Air Forces/Air Force unit active during WWII as part of the 448th Bombardment Group (B-24s in Europe), later redesignated for B-29s, and saw Cold War service with Strategic Air Command (SAC) flying FB-111s, eventually becoming the 715th Weapons Squadron at Whiteman AFB, known for its role with the 509th Bomb Wing and training, though now inactive.
