329th Bomb Squadron

The 329th Bomb Squadron (BS) in WWII was a highly decorated unit of the 93rd Bombardment Group, flying B-24 Liberators as part of the Eighth Air Force, known as "The Traveling Circus," conducting strategic bombing in Europe and North Africa, including the famous Ploesti oil fields raid, and later supported ground forces with supply drops before being slated for the Pacific but inactivated after Japan's surrender, earning numerous honors for its extensive combat record.
